About Us

Joining our family in 2018, Carpe Diem came to us from Texas. The work started with a full gut of the interior, eventually we split the shell and chassis to rebuilt and strengthen the frame and put a new complete new floor.

The interior design deviated from the original layout and focused on more open space and clean surfaces, while maintaining all essential functions. As architect and interior designers, keeping a coherent motive with durable materials and integrated functions was key. Opting for a king size bed, it was placed in the rear to serve as the recovery resting pad.

With a lifetime of sailing and diving, the bathroom was built as a full wet cabin, allowing for easy maintenance and efficient use. A cartridge toilet eliminates the need for a blackwater tank and also contributes to better air quality in the airstream.

The kitchen features an upright fridge/freezer as well as custom stick built cabinets with plenty of storage. Custom built upper shelves were inspired by the curves of the airstream and integrate cedar wood, also found throughout Carpe Diem to create a grounding feel and provide natural insect repellence.

In our blog, find the historical documentation of the restoration as well as lessens learned. As we are taking Carpe Diem on the road also look for tips and tricks on our travel choices.
